Land Rover Discovery Sport 2.2 TD4 / SD4 diesel: auxiliary belt & tensioner check
Engine · Discovery Sport (2014 on) · 2014–2015
How often: every 16,000 mi or year, whichever comes first. On many of these engines the auxiliary belt drives the water pump and alternator; a snapped belt can be pulled into the timing belt cover.
Work safely: support the vehicle on axle stands, never a jack alone; let it cool first. Check figures against your workshop manual. You do this work at your own risk.
