Range Rover Sport L320 4.4 V8 / 4.2 supercharged V8 petrol: spark plugs

Ignition · Range Rover Sport L320 (2005–13) · 2005–2009

How often: every 60,000 mi or 7 yrs, whichever comes first. Worn plugs cause misfires that can damage the catalytic converters.

Check the plug interval on your Maintenance Check Sheet; Land Rover's varies by engine.

Work safely: support the vehicle on axle stands, never a jack alone; let it cool first. Check figures against your workshop manual. You do this work at your own risk.

Parts
  • Spark plugs (long-life plugs to suit engine (one per cylinder))

Step by step

  1. Remove the engine covers and the coils one at a time.
